Why we're launching Modern Change
Today, we’re excited to be launching Modern Change - a consultancy helping progressive organisations tackle burnout, harness AI, and equip themselves to meet the future head on.
Over eight years as co-CEOs of charity digital agency Forward Action, we had the privilege of partnering with nearly 100 nonprofits, all of which do incredible work. But during that time, we also saw that many organisations are grappling with the same deep challenges. In fact, we think it’s likely that everyone reading this works somewhere that’s dealing with at least one of these:
Too-slow progress on digital transformation, contributing to declining fundraising and lack of campaign cut through
Burnt out employees, high turnover rates, and low trust between leadership and staff
Ways of working that hold people back from innovating or taking initiative
A realisation that AI is coming, but uncertainty about how to start preparing for it
These challenges are being driven by seismic social and technological change. People’s expectations of work are evolving - for the better, we’d argue - and staff now expect more from their job than they did before. At the same time, organisations have had to catch up with the explosion in digital technology over the last decade, which will grow exponentially as AI develops.
But as well as the challenges, we believe this wave of change can unlock huge opportunities. With forward-thinking leadership and new approaches to work, we can supercharge our teams, raise more money, and grow our ability to shape the world for the better over the coming decade.
We’ve launched Modern Change to help progressive organisations do just that. With Forward Action, we’re proud to have built an organisation that succeeds by empowering staff and embracing technological change. Now, we want to use our experience to help other leaders build happy, productive and resilient organisations - the kind that will thrive as the world continues to change around them.
